The IRS2Go application for Smartphones can check the status of refunds due from the Treasury.  Users will also be able to receive updates of tax tips.

Free downloads are available at the App Store from Apple Inc and from the Android Marketplace for Android users.

This is good news for the 100 million individual tax payers who file electronically. 70% of American tax filers do so with efile or other electronic means.  Technology is increasing and encouraged.
