Electric vehicle manufacturers believe that there may indeed be a silver lining in the soaring cost of oil, at least in terms of their own industry. With the price of oil once again exceeding the $100 per barrel mark, attention is once again turning to the EV industry as a potentially viable everyday alternative.

The Chevy Volt leads the Ford Focus EV and Nissan Leaf in brand awareness according at a study by Zpryme.
