Tesla Roadster Functional Not Faulty

Tesla Roadster Functional Not FaultyChris Woodyard synopsized the general opinion on the Tesla Roadster being less practicable than sports cars running on petrol. He reported in USA TODAY that BBC’s programTop Gear, claims it did not make false accusations against the Tesla Roadster. According to Tesla, maker of the electric sports car, the program accused the roadster of being faulty when in fact, it is not.

It appears to be one of those semantics contentions.  Andy Wilman, the executive producer of Top Gear claims that the show used the word “calculated” in regards to the Tesla Roadster running out of electricity after circling the track a specific number of times at 55 miles per hour. Tesla’s lawsuit contends the show proclaimed that the roadster “would” run out of juice after that number of miles. Perhaps a transcript of the show can confirm or deny which word was used.

Elon Musk, who runs Tesla, located in California, claims to be relentlessly harassed by the lie to this day. The show in question was telecast two years ago. A concurrent false allegation was the brakes were inoperable when a fuse was blown. According to Musk, that is also fallacious.

Wilman said the only possibly derogatory statements made on the show were that a Tesla Roadster was three times as expensive as a sports car run on petrol and recharging it was a time consuming task. These, in his opinion, are accurate statements.
